Course Description

After a website is designed and finalized using appropriate images and formats, you will need to manage and administer your website. You will constantly be updating it with information, and therefore it is critical that you assign appropriate privileges to users to maintain site integrity. You may also need to connect with and use a publishing server. In this course, you will learn how to administer a website by using Adobe Contribute CS3 and also connect with and use the Contribute Publishing Server.

Course Objective: You will administer and maintain a multi-user website with Adobe Contribute CS3.

Delivery Method: Instructor led, group-paced, classroom-delivery learning model with structured hands-on activities.

Performance-Based Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

* Familiarize yourself with the elements in the Adobe Contribute CS3 workspace and identify the connection protocols to connect with a website.
* Establish connection to a website.
* Integrate content from MS Office documents and web browsers into Contribute.
* Administer the new page settings, template options, and style settings.
* Manage existing users and define new user roles.
* Access and enable the CPS and then define users and perform a review workflow.
* Create shared site assets and set accessibility options.
* Deploy Contribute sites and perform administrative tasks.
